As Tall As Lions have to be in this. The self-titled album is one of the best albums for flowing and it exudes quality. It's one album I wouldn't hesitate in calling perfect. The album has the whole package and the band have other quality songs throughout the catalogue.
Other bands; 1997 - if there wasn't drama, the first two albums are great enough that they're considered underrated. There's a few other like British band Blakfish who have now split up. What about Barcelona? They released a really good album and then never heard from them.
This came at the perfect time. I was just starting to look for something to listen to after the new Good Old War album. By the way, I second everything said about Mansions in this discussion.
Why remixed? Remastered I understand... different medium...
Basically the album, as it was released, was not how the band wanted it to be. It sounded like there was a lot that they wanted tweaked, so in the current shape it isn't something they wanted on vinyl. It wouldn't be a cheap task to take on.
