Correct: Allahu Akbar, Akbar is already definite and doesn't need to carry al-.

I didn't know that dispute. I'm actually neck-deep in a paper over subject-verb agreement asymmetries in VSO constructions of Arabic for a final (dry and nerdy but still interesting to me). Cool to see translators on this site. I'm trying to get to translation level but American foreign language classrooms are pretty much flooded with apathy.
