Staff Recommendations: March 25th, 2012 Looks like I'm the first up and here to post Sunday Recommendations. Is everyone else enjoying the great weather or something? Probably getting ready for the NCAA games today. Or just hanging out getting ready for the return of Mad Men? Either way, I'm here and am ready to get the thread started. Coffee in hand, watching basketball on the side screen, and a bunch of things to recommend!
Jason TateFirst up, I saw 21st Jump Street the other day and it's hilarious. Definitely recommend you go see that. I haven't seen that movie everyone's talking about yet about reality TV murderous children or whatever -- so, while everyone else is going to see that: check out 21st Jump Street. So good. I did a quick review of the Butch Walker book, it's a must buy for fans of his music or the industry in general. From the music side of things: Social Distortion's latest, POS, Frank Turner, and MxPx's "Life in General." Follow my stupid commentary on Twitter or Facebook if you feel like it as well.
Jake Denning Sitting at a downtown Starbucks in Portland getting ready to experience all that the GK Tour has to offer, so I suggest you check that tour out if you haven't already. Check out the new Stick To Your Guns album, "Diamond", out tuesday -- easily their defining album.
Thomas NassiffI don't usually do these, but I'm holed up in the fine arts library - the only reason I come here is because they have these cool bunk bed-type study cubicles, they're awesome - trying to re-write my Too Long; Do Read for the month of March, which is a lengthy look at Kickstarter. I'll probably take Jason's suggestion on 21 Jump Street and go watch that when I manage to finish this up. First off, I recommend seeing Bruce Springsteen if he's coming near you and you can spare the cost of the ticket. Even if you aren't a huge fan, I'll eat my iPhone if it's not one of the best live performances you ever see. Finally, keep an eye out for our exclusive stream of The Thing That Ate Larry Livermore comp, which starts this week and will run for two months!
Sean RizzoGet 's remix of Hammock 's "Borrowing the Past" Rhian Sheehan here. Best dollar you will spend this week, I promise. This is quite honestly one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. Fight back those tears. FIGHT THEM! #staff recommendations

For those who have been raving about The Hunger Games, I suggest you watch/read Batte Royale. It's like The Hunger Games but good.
Music-wise I've been on one of my biggest k-pop kicks yet.
