It definitely sounds like they were headed in more of a post hardcore direction with the 3 songs I've heard so far, but I still like it a lot surprisingly. I didn't like The Hope Division at all, and this record is certainly a big departure from For What It's Worth, but I feel like the band has evolved more and harnessed more of an old school punk/hardcore sound mixed with newer post hardcore elements while still maintaining their beatdown roots. I'm real anxious to listen to the full album tomorrow, great review too!

Far from it. STYG is so much better.

This album blew me away. I thought it would be impossible for them to top The Hope Division, but they did. My 2012 Album of the Year (as of now).

They have a real big pro-active message. You might want to hold off until I post this interview with their vocalist, Jesse - it'll be a few days though.

loved the hope division and i'm loving this. they went in the right direction with this album. and 'empty heads' is a fuckin jam.

This album shakes my bones!

I wish they would drop those stupid audio clips. They kill the flow of the album and add nothing. It's a hxc cliché that should have died out years ago.

The intro track to this album is so good.

With the way it starts off with "Diamond", I was really into this. Then, I started to lose it, as it seems like the "heavy parts" (I hope this makes sense, because basically everything is heavy haha) were just breakdowns. In The Hope Division, the heavy parts, while mostly breakdowns, felt like much more. They hit with more impact than just chugeroos, which is what I got from this mostly. I still like it, but it just doesn't pass The Hope Division. Good review!

Definitely check out the US tour they just announced with the Ghost Inside. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
