Musicians earn a living? But they are supposed to be dead broke! Any band that makes a profit is clearly anti-DIY and not worthy.

True that. That's why I post here and have my own blog. Good point. Although my friends know thar I'm the "music guy" so sometimes I get sick of recommending shit cause I feel like I'm being pretentious and annoying. I just want to tell then what I'm listening to is all. Usually I'll just play stuff while they're in my car and let them ask what it is.

But yeah I love recommending and sharing new music with people.

Yeah, I totally get what you are saying haha. There is definitely a fine line between recommending something in conversation and being overwhelming. For music lovers such are ourselves, we get stoked to talk music and sometimes it can be a bit much for those that are more casual listeners for lack of a better word. Unless there is a good time in conversation to bring something up, I will just shoot out a harmless tweet of something that caught my attention. I will also do something on my Facebook page for a band if they catch my attention and I need more characters than Twitter allows.
