I don't think his point has much to with pop music as much as it has to do with his views of war and violence. Could be wrong though. |
maybe, but i feel like if the Black Keys or Titus Andronicus or someone did something similar, it wouldn't have caused him to take to his twitter like that- his issue seems to be with exploitation of war to move units, which would really be a bigger deal in the pop universe.
however, i could be wrong as well.
EDIT: but i do think saying that katy perry is somehow glamorizing war is a stretch. the video seems like it's probably void of any political commentary, or feelings one way or the other on war.
