I don't understand why bands continue to release filler EPs like this. You'd think the industry would have moved away from superfluous cash-ins like this.

Three bucks for the single + video + 2 live songs? Seems like a good deal to me.

I'm not saying the cost is a rip-off. Just that it's filler. It's a song fans already have, a video they can see on youtube and live tracks. Not worth charging for.

Most bands still sell singles though. For 1.29 on iTunes. Two live songs and the video for $.70. The idea is to promote the single.

Wait is the EP 3 dollars or 2? Now you have me confused.

Regardless, I know they're still one of the biggest rock bands around so single promotion is still a big thing, I get why it's being done, but this seems like such a relic of an out-of-date approach.

My bad, 1.70. I think it's 2.99 ... right? I dunno, I don't care ... haha. I'm assuming it's a boost single sales tactic.

Yeah. I get the rationale. Just seems like an outdated move.

Live songs do NOTHING for me. And I think when they're released on a short EP like this it comes across as filler.

The live songs have potential but they just sound so muddy to me. They need to just take the effort to make a well done live DVD or CD already :P

Don't even like when an EP is called an EP when it doesn't have new songs. Or at least b-sides or unreleased material
