Wow. Nice. I can get behind anyone that helped do stuff for Beck and Gnarls Barkley. Will be interested to see the direction they take and hopefully will be better than the EP nonsense.
Good call. Hopefully, working with someone like him will help their songwriting. I think Rob Cavallo did good work on Brand New Eyes, but that well must have dried up with those "Singles Club" songs. They didn't do anything for me and I don't think they'd do themselves any favors by sticking with a typically pop-punk producer. They need someone who's going to challenge them.
Hmm he's done a lot of work with pop artists. I'm really interested to hear new songs and see what these guys do next. This seems like the make-or-break album for them. Brand New Eyes just didn't do it for me...hoping they can put out some more great stuff!
I'm really excited about this :D i've loved everything they've released (except for The Only Exception, though) so i'm just eager to see the direction they are going...
The Singles Club was more of a B-Side compilation, each song was quite different but they were trying new things i think...
However they need a good drummer like, yesterday. The drumming on the EP was quite generic and uninspired...

Always wanted to work with him personally, dude is just straight up talented.
Figuring he'll be playing on the record quite a bit.
Hope we see some Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Joey Waronker appearances on this record.
That whole Beck band just killed.
