I want to be excited about this.

wasn't a fan of the last album. I want to hear them move forward musically and blend vocal melodies. That's what is at the heart of TBS.

thank god, their self titled was unarguably their weakest release.

I guess I'll be the first person to be excited for this. Here's to hoping there are dual vocals in every single song.

pretty sure everyone now knows that's not ever going to happen (if the original line-up doesn't have that sort of effect, what could?). music that sounds good instead of 'showcasing their talents as songwriters' is all that can really be hoped for now.

As I've said in the other threads they just need to add more duel vocals in vain of their older stuff. My personal favourite song and probably the best song Taking Back Sunday have done in years is "This Is All Now" mainly due to duel vocals. When I talked to John last year after a gig though he said he will have more of role on vocals this time around. Lets hope thats not changed!

The self-titled wasn't outstanding, I get that, but it was better than New Again. It featured good dual vocal performances and the musicianship wasn't half bad, either. It wasn't as commercially successful as Louder Now or as popular as WYWTB and TAYF, but it wasn't bad. I expect good things from TBS still.

I seem to gradually be becoming the only person in the world that liked the self-titled.
