Jesse Lacey was interviewed for this article about Bamboozle and said some things about Brand New, including how the band's studio time in April was not used to record a new Brand New album. It doesn't seem like there's a plan to record one soon, either. The quote is below.
"In some ways a band can be limiting, especially after being in it for 10 to 12 years. It really has become a lot more about the friendship and the families we have with each other -- and the idea that we can't do this much longer."
Every band at some point or another reaches this stage. They're feeling the pressure of making a record in a market that had seemingly changed more since their last record than it has in the past ten years. They're also regarded as the kings of their scene by many. Lacey isn't built for pressure or stress as it seems to only causes him and the band more issues. I'm a happy BN fan until the day I die because I got YFW and Deja. Two of the most important records that have ever been written in my mind.
Let them go quietly into the night. They gave us their best.
So they didn't record an album and have no plans currently to do so?
Edit: Only skimmed the quote, missed the actual newsposts text. Bummer. I like Daisy, but I know a lot of people might be disappointed if that's what they end with.
