Boston is awesome! There are plenty of bars around, a lot of which probably depends on where you are in the city, though mostly everything is reachable by train. I really like Mass Ave in Cambridge, places like the Middle East, TT the Bears, All Asia, The Asgard are all great. Downtown has some good ones as well. Longwood is great for anyone in the Northeastern, Simmons, Emmanuel, Harvard Med area. Stay in Allston/Brighton/Cambridge/Jamaica Plain and you won't be seeing many bro's.

My school was in Cambridge but I took the train to Boston whenever I could. It was crazy fun meeting people that went to BU. I can't remember any places cause I don't remember leaving them
