Featured Stream: This Day and Age's "Always Leave The...

Posted by - 08:59 PM on 05/24/12
This Day and Age recently released Always Leave the Ground on vinyl through American Dream Records. Since the stellar album came out way back in 2004, originally on One Eleven Records, we've partnered up with the band and label to bring you a full stream of the record to refresh your memory. Check out the stream on the band's AP.net Profile and if you like what you hear, it's available to order now. Reminisce about the album in the replies, or if you're just hearing it for the first time, leave your thoughts.

Such an amazing album. Lost my CD years ago and don't have it on my computer, real shame. Can't wait for my vinyl to come in.

Joe, does the vinyl by chance come with an mp3 download?

Great album and great band but Reign of Kindo blows their stuff out of the water.

I remember seeing these guys live with Mae back in the day and enjoying it quite a bit. Remeber being impressed that the drummer was keeping time on the kit and playing a part on the keyboard at the same time. The guys were super nice after the show and (I believe) even sold me a copy of this album a few days before it came out.

Gonna listen to this later and reminisce

It doesn't come with an mp3 download. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a digital copy, though. If you use Firefox and install the DownloadHelper extension, I think it's possible to grab the individual mp3s from the stream. Not that I would advocate such piracy.

Gush away!

I've said similar here before but here goes; an amazingly heartfelt and nostalgic record for me. In particular I remember playing "Tomorrow is Waiting" over and over again before studying abroad in Spain. "Second place victory" will always be my favorite though. That said, the follow up did nothing for me and was very forgettable.
