i don't like the song or the group by any means, but there is definitely some merit to 14 million singles sold and the most purchased track on itunes, specially when the group wrote most of the song themselves with only a few co-writes, which is rare in popular music which is generally completely written by ghost writers.
I don't usually defend auto-tune usage and meaningless pop music, but i do know when to give credit when deserved.
