Eminem is beginning work on a new solo record, his follow-up to 2010's four-times-platinum Recovery, while finishing work on the first album from hip-hop supergroup Slaghterhouse, Welcome To: Our House.
I've liked everything Em's put out, so I'm definitely stoked for this. I hope there's less outside production on this one though, I found that all the different producers made Recovery kind of inconsistent and all over the place for me. I've always preferred when Em makes his own hooks and raps over his and Dre's darker sounding beats. And when he's not yelling everything.
I'm kind of tired of "angry Eminem" delivery he had in a lot of Recovery. He changed it up a bit on Hell The Sequel (see "A Kiss"), which was a combination of his modern and past delivery style.
I just felt like every song he released after Recovery was the "Love The Way You Lie" aka shouting delivery. I'll take that over the Relapse accents, of course.
