Wes Borland is very upset

one of my favorite bands of all time and I've never seen them live. Considering I'm also from their state, I'm ashamed of that fact.

Was this that band that was in that stupid "It's Pat" movie?

Sucks. I JUST started listening to them this week.

So sad, they have been at it forever now and were great at it.

This is such shit news, I was really hoping for another record.

Ween was one of the best bands of the late 80s, 90s and early 2000s and I mean that in all seriousness. They took standard genres of music, emulated them in fun and often hilarious ways, all the while producing music that was usually far better than what they were paying tibute to.

Their early records were great fun, Pure Guava is one of my least favourites but features impressive use of tape manipulation throughout.

Then came Chocolate and Cheese, followed by the Mollusk. Every music lover should own these two records. The Mollusk is one of the ten best albums I have ever heard. This album, which the casual listener could pass off as a joke, is just amazing.

Do yourself a favour and give those records a listen; if you like them, try White Pepper too.

Bummer, awesome and perpetually underrated band.

Damn. I didn't listen to them much, but always really respected Ween. Maybe I'll get around to listening more soon.
