Perfect way to put The Tallest Man On Earth. I was hoping for something a bit more experimental but it's still a great listen. He should take some career advice from The Antlers, imo.

If you like dispelling myths and have an earnest desire to save the world, read "The Story of B" by Daniel Quinn.

If you're feeling less ambitious, Cartel once did a cover of Oasis' "Wonderwall" on a record called "Punk goes 90s" that's just fantastic.

I just moved back home from school earlier this week and spent a ton of time going through my last.fm recommendations and 2:54 is definitely one of my favorite discoveries. I still think their name is stupid, though

Agreed, especially when typing in address bar for a quick google search haha. Yeah great band though been posting about them for some time now, loving the debut.

Nothing will ever be as ungoogleable as Album by Girls.

EDIT: Actually, I forgot about this one. http://household.bandcamp.com/

"Household Items" doesn't bring up a lot of music results

I need to give 2:54 another shot. The couple songs I've heard didn't strike me but the Warpaint LP rules.

Japandroids album smokes.

Also enjoying lately:
[nu shit]
Animal Collective - Honeycomb b/w Gotham

Apart - Gray Light (RIYL Xerxes, Caravels, current screamo revival)

Coasta - Coasta EP (RIYL Robbers, earlier Radiohead, Wilco)

[the classics]
R.E.M. - Reckoning

Ride - Going Blank Again

Jawbox - For Your Own Special Sweetheart

I do not recommend leaving the CD case out in your car in direct sunlight, though.
