Life seems so easy here
On the top of my oak tree
Far from the threat of death
Far from the killing ground
It takes a blow of wind
To see how fragile it is
To forget that you’re hung from above
Focusing on emptiness below
Only fear in you’re mind
Fear of this distant ground
Feeling so vulnerable
As a useless part of the puzzle
Life and death paced by the season clock
The reign of time, this heartless tyrant
Already the air is getting colder
The bough is dropping strangers by hundred
As days go by
The end is getting closer night after night
The cry of wolves still resonate high
Tonight the sky wears his darkest coat of clouds
Freezes fields, chills the seas
As the white kingdom comes
The white kingdom comes
I realize on the air, I am falling down, falling down
And hit the ground so fast, and melt in the grass
A flash of light wakes me up to life
Barbed wire in my sight
Kneeling on the bloody mud
Waiting the enemy last assault
I feel like an October leaf ready to fall… | | |
