Half of the last album was delicate songs about his wife. Still excited for this though.

This is lame as shit.. I mean we all get forced into the usual chic flick and whatever else we do for our girlfriends that should never be made public but this tops it all.. stick to making music w the bro's and keep the sweet nothings to the candle light dinners for 2. C'MON MAXXXXXXX!

Listen to Stacy's side-project, Sucre, that she did with her husband, Darren from MuteMath. One of the best albums to come out this year imo...those two plus Jeremy Larson = perfection and no Yoko-Ono-ness whatsoever.

But, unfortunately, it is clear that Max's lyrical output has gone stale over the past few albums. I do hold him to a pretty high standard compared to most artists, but I'd feel embarrassed for any band if they had a love song where the chorus just repeats the phrase "you look so good tonight" over and over mindlessly.
