After posting about some vinyl preorders for The Gaslight Anthem's Handwritten and discovering a boatload of confusion about the preorder situation, I reached out to Infinite Merch to get some clarification. After I ordered the El Jefe preorder with the blue vinyl advertised (they note that they can't guarantee what color you'll get), they informed me that "The blue was put up because we were informed that the first pressing will be blue. That doesn't mean that our allotment in the second pressing won't be a color." They also confirmed that this is the official preorder from the band.
Good to have everything all cleared up, but I'll probably just end up getting it from SRC or Interpunk now. That $50 price tag is absurd. Usually, that same package on every single Bridge 9 release is never more than $30.
Why is there not a just vinyl option? That's all I want.
If they are the 'offical' store, how do they not know how many copies of the first pressing they are getting?
Call my crazy, but I kinda want to know what color the vinyl I order is going to be. I don't want to wind up with a black one only to find out "Oh, if you had ordered from here instead you could've gotten this fancy looking splatter"

Nah, B9 is just regular posters. I wasn't aware there was a difference, didn't realize it was a screen print. But that's not my point. I don't want to spend $50 just to get the Blue color variant.

Said exactly what I wrote, so I deleted my comment.
