I think they get to hear a clip of the song, to get the general feel. The band 'Why?' just posted something on facebook looking for some people to be involved in a video and they stated 'those who are chosen will get a sneak peek at the song from the video'. So im assuming this is what usually happens.

Wasn't in the 45 video. Should try to get an extra spot in this one

I don't think so. I've been in a few music videos and been on set for about another 5 or so and only when the band is performing do they play the song. And since this is a short film that will later be edited into a music video, I don't think they will hear anything.

Damn. That's a bummer. Still pretty cool to be a part of but I would've hoped to hear the single
