AP.net Interview: Lostprophets

Posted by: Andy Biddulph (06/19/12)
Head here to read our interview with Lostprophets, where bassist Stu Richardson discusses their latest album and forthcoming stint on Warped Tour.Weapons is released today in the US and the band will be on Tilly's Stage at Warped from 7/12 to 8/5.
From the InterviewIt's really good to tour the US again. We haven't played there in six years! Some of our best times have been had on American soil - I met my wife there, settled down, blah, blah. We toured the shit out of it for most of 2001-2006. It's gonna be great to see some old friends and eat at fucking Denny's at 4am.

They built up so much momentum from 2002-2007. And then they lost it all from 2007.

Liberation Transmission (2006) got to #33 in the US, The Betrayed (2010) was never even released there.

Love the band but after reading the interview the guy sounds like a complete idiot who thinks he's some mega rockstar.

I loved Liberation Transmission as pure pop-trash-metal, and never heard the Betrayed. Excited for this!

I like Weapons, but I feel like this band stopped being creative after Start Something. Every album they've made since then has felt pretty interchangeable to me.

They really know how to adapt to the new scene. The new record sounds great and that is a tough comment to get out of me since I have been a fan since" Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja" back in 2001.

as much as i like them (actually it's my favorite band...ever), you speak the truth. i can't put enough words to explain how disappointed i was when they scrapped the fourth album and ruined their momentum. "Weapons" is decent but they play it too safe this time
