i just realized i've only listened to 2 Offspring albums. Smash and Americana.

Will listen to this later. Hope that Cruising California is the black sheep of the album and they put out another solid effort.

After listening to just the first song, I'm so relieved that Cruisin' California is a "joke song." Seems to be another solid album.

The Future Is Now sounds just like Savior by Rise Against.

there are a few moments where it sounds like there is a little bit of throwback offspring sound

Scott @ AP completely tore this album apart, but I don't know why. It's nothing groundbreaking, but another really solid rock album from these guys. I think this album and Rise & Fall... are better than both Conspiracy of One and Splinter, so I'm still liking this band a lot.

Good song regardless (or perhaps because) of that though.

On the whole, a solid album actually. Definitely getting the Foo Fighters vibe.
For the record, Splinter is my favourite Offspring album (like with Cruising California, just pretend that Worst Hangover Ever and When You're In Prison don't exist)

Listened to it a couple of times. Has a few good tracks on it but overall pretty forgetabble. I like the Dirty Magic throwback...that was always my favourite Offspring track.

Has a few pretty rocking tracks. Hurting as One, Dirty Magic, and the last two are my favourites. Overall, I'd give it a 6/10.
