Great points made and spot on, only seen a few negative reviews for the album, less "umph" than their debut but more progression on their sound with this one.

Ugh this band so much.

I wound up liking this album, which I was surprised by. Still not a fan of "Make Total Destroy", but "Scarlet" grew on me a little. A lot of these songs are way too long though, IMO. I get bored halfway through most of them. Most likely will not end up listening to this as much as the first record.

Right? I don't quite understand that either. They took SOOOOOO long writing and in pre-pro that it floors me that anyone would say there are "filler" tracks on this album. I feel that they didn't record anything until the songs were perfectly thought out through and through. But whatever, to each their own I guess/

djent? the hell is that? im being serious. i like this band. great vocals. crazy dynamics. just flawless. a decent long album. buying it today.

Some of the songs ("Ji", for instance) are just dead weight, and the entire album is just unsophisticated and is in desperate need of some refining. The amount of hyperbole being thrown around with this album is so unwarranted, it's just good.

Of you don't find the chorus to face palm mute, their is something wrong with you. I didn't think I liked this band but this record is a breath of fresh air

great album, probably my favourite of the year thus far, it's such a huge step up from their debut, which i also loved. But damn this one just destroys the first.

Great album, not a bad track on there. Amazing production all the way through, it sounds awesome.

I am sad at Sumerian's unwillingness to put their artists on Spotify.

I'm not too sure why this album is getting such rave reviews. Periphery's first album remains one of my favorite metal albums and is 10x better than this one. I think the only decent songs are the singles, "Scarlet" and "Make Total Destroy." People are going overboard and making it sound like this album is the best thing to happen to metal in centuries.
