How did you get your band name?
From the Cold World album with the same name (No Omega, 2007)
How did this band get started?
Oscar (guitar) and Victor (drums) have been writing music together for 10 years now. When they got into hardcore music and D.I.Y ethics some years ago, they became so inspired that they were heavily influenced by hardcore in their writing. Together with Andreas and Daniel they formed "No Omega". The idea of the sound was to fuse pretty furious - but at the same time melodic - hardcore with dark and depressing post-metal stuff, always aiming at writing something new; something that doesn't sound like everything else. What bands are you influenced by?
Dead Swans, Killing The Dream, The Carrier, Meleeh, Oceana, Rise & Fall, Touché Amoré and Converge.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Converge. Amazing band, amazing people. They've been great role models for us for a long time.
Best food to eat on tour?
Vegan burgers, vegan BBQ. Why should people listen to your band?
Because we are honest and we always push the limit to create something new and interesting. We are 100% dedicated to music, playing live shows and the music we make. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
Less commercial, less about money. Memorable tour experience?
Getting pulled over by German police on our tour with Full Of Hell (US)and having our van taken and impounded while we were left at the side of the road with almost no idea of what was going on or what to do.
What does AP.net mean to you?
A great website for spreading the word about alternative music.
What is your favorite song to play?
"Heavy Rain" or "Harbringer". What is your vacation spot of choice?
What music reminds you of your childhood?
Old rock music like Bruce Springsteen.
Any pre-show superstitions or rituals?
I like to feel really miserable and depressed and get in a really dark place. Those shows are often the best we play. What is your assessment of the current state of radio? Do you think it's a place where your band could flourish?
Sure, why not!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Book tours and eat pizza.
