People with a strong emotional connection to the band and their music and/or people with disposable income.

I mean, it's pretty cool to have a band that you absolutely love do something like write a song about you or give you lifetime tickets to their shows or play in your living room.

It's also for making a tour and a DVD and for promoting all of these things...


And there is a difference in quality between a band who spends $25,000 on an album, dvd, and tour and one who can only afford to use garage band.

Not sure why people give a fuck when fans of a band WANT a band they like to be funded to do things their way instead of under the guidance and support of a label. It's not like charity. We get music and all kinds of goodies.
