Come on, everyone has some spare change they can throw their way. Go one night without Taco Bell and Mountain Dew and donate $5 to $10.

I dropped $95 to have Jeff mix and master a song of mine. I thought that was a pretty cool opportunity!

I always wonder what kind of people do the $1,000 options.

People with a strong emotional connection to the band and their music and/or people with disposable income.

I mean, it's pretty cool to have a band that you absolutely love do something like write a song about you or give you lifetime tickets to their shows or play in your living room.

Seriously, I was extremely doubtful this was gonna go through like 2 days ago, and then BOOM. I wonder what happened?

Or they can do what many bands do and not spend $25,000 to record an album.

remember when bands actually had to work themselves to pay for studio time and touring?

It's also for making a tour and a DVD and for promoting all of these things...

And there is a difference in quality between a band who spends $25,000 on an album, dvd, and tour and one who can only afford to use garage band.

Not sure why people give a fuck when fans of a band WANT a band they like to be funded to do things their way instead of under the guidance and support of a label. It's not like charity. We get music and all kinds of goodies.
