Shawn is a phenomenal artist. That said, I wish he'd bring back The Matches.

When the fuck is Sons of Summer coming out. It's inappropriate to release it in the Fall or further. Am I going to have to wait till next summer?

I like Maniac's debut more than the last Matches album.

I enjoyed both releases about the same, but it's with E. Von Dahl/Decomposer where I believe Shawn shined best. Anyway, I didn't say he'd have to quit Maniac.

Definitely. I was just saying haha. He seems to be having the most fun he's had in awhile with Maniac though. No real boundaries.

Just making sure haha. I can appreciate Maniac and the freedom he has in making music for it, but I'd rather a new Matches album regardless. I don't think anything he wrote under The Matches was really that constricted anyhow, unless having more members that might've had musical differences was a constant.

Such a tease to see The Matches in a news post. But this was cool, love both of these guys.

Yeah, The Matches were probably one of the most open bands out there but they did have a formula that worked for them. I just love that he's getting to try out whatever he thinks is great, which is why I love Mania so much. 80's inspired pop rock done the way it should be.
