Get the absolute largest fridge for your dorm they will allow. Preferably the one with separate compartments for fridge and freezer. Makes storing snack food and booze way simpler; and the shitty ones with the little freezer compartment are pretty useless.

Beyond that, pretty much anything you'd have in your room at home you should bring

You'll definitely wanna hit up a Wal-mart or Target or Costco and stock up on water/drinks and food because a lot of times, college campuses sell shit way overpriced cause they know they can. My university store had drinks and food for so much more than at the supermarket. Microwave is important too. Frozen pizzas and Easy Mac are key for drunk nights. Like Chris said, a nice big fridge is important, especially for alcohol. Bring a nice mattress pad/memory foam for your bed too cause those shits are uncomfortable without it.
