Love the 80's influence in the instrumentation. The melody is catchy, and while I'll never relate to the lyrics, I still enjoy this quite a bit. Interesting departure for him musically.

The Modern Post is a band who believes that the good news of Jesus should forever be the headline. The Mars Hill Orange County band’s first EP, Grace Alone, debuts soon, on August 14.

for those wondering

Beautiful 80's sounding song, though I agree with the first post in that the lyrics I can't relate to like his earlier work

i knew that Dustin's post-Thrice music would not sound like Thrice, but i wasn't expecting this (not in a bad way). is there are market for Christian indie rock like this out there?

I like the sound of it but yeah, it's hard to get into the very blatant worship lyrics. Still good music though.

Yeah definitely. As a 20-year old church going Christian, I think that young people in the church will love this. Some of the music played at my church is similar to this style, actually.

I really like it.

Ascend the Hill was able to raise money for their new record using kickstarter, and they're an indie worship band.

Had no idea Aushua changed their name to Pacific Hurt.

Solid lineup, nice tune. Even though worship lyrics don't really mean much to me I'd be OK with this if it weren't a "The Mars Hill Orange County band", whatever that means.
