02:03 PM on 08/06/12 | Singer-songwriter Frank Turner has had an extraordinary two-years in his native England. Heralded as "The people's prince of punk poetry" by the NME, he has amassed a huge and adoring fan base, breakthrough radio hits and a sold out headlining show at Wembley Arena (documented in a thrilling new DVD). It all reached a crescendo with a historic performance at the biggest show on earth, the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
In the states Turner remains, for the time being, an emerging star on the verge of a breakthrough similar to those experienced by like artists The Gaslight Anthem and Dropkick Murphys. After opening for Social Distortion, The Offspring along with the before mentioned Dropkicks and Gaslight Anthem as well as completing a triumphant 2012 headline tour, word of Turner is spreading across the US.
To help the process along, we would like to offer a special introduction to the man and his music. Last Minutes and Lost Evenings delivers 15 songs, a riveting mix of standards and rarities hand-picked by Turner to get American fans off on the right foot.
Bundled with a full DVD of his groundbreaking Wembley show – almost two hours of music, with plenty of rousing sing-alongs and folk-punk fury from Frank’s amazing band The Sleeping Souls – Last Minutes and Lost Evenings is a record longtime fans will cherish. For stateside fans just hearing of Frank Turner, it’s an ideal introduction.

02:38 PM on 08/06/12 | Go on, give up, you'll never win... I have all the songs, but I'll buy it for the DVD.
02:44 PM on 08/06/12 | Actually about the best compilation one could put together. I would maybe make one or two changes, but mostly pretty perfect.
Still, it's unnecessary for my collection.
02:45 PM on 08/06/12 | I already live with too many Goats Frank is doing two fest shows? Wonder what that is going to be like. Maybe a solo afternoon slot on Sunday with just Frank, a guitar and a ton of sweaty drunken punks and then a more standard show Saturday night? Not that I'm complaining...
03:01 PM on 08/06/12 | We will not live to settle for less The first three are easily his best songs.
03:18 PM on 08/06/12 | Will try to make that 9/22 date
03:18 PM on 08/06/12 | blame it on the lies that killed us too few EKMB in that compilation !! I'll definitely buy the DVD though
03:20 PM on 08/06/12 | pretty solid choices. would've liked "Redemption" or "Glory Halleluiah" added onto it.
03:22 PM on 08/06/12 | And whoa, where did this third Boston show on the 9th come from??
03:40 PM on 08/06/12 | Reasons Not To Be An Idiot is probably my favorite Frank Turner song. I'm glad it made the track list. Kinda bummed that Imperfect Tense and Peggy Sang The Blues didn't make the cut though.
05:47 PM on 08/06/12 | So, there's no songs from England, Keep My Bones? Bummer. However, I am incredibly stoked to see him at Fest. Dude sells out Wembley and plays at the Olympics, yet he manages to play at hole-in-the-wall bars and the likes in the States.
06:04 PM on 08/06/12 | Pretty good choices. Wish "Love, Ire & Song" or "Faithful Son" would of made it though.
06:10 PM on 08/06/12 | I was kinda hoping you'd stay. will definitely be picking this up for the DVD, can't wait
06:24 PM on 08/06/12 | Go on, give up, you'll never win... Too many great Frank songs to please everyone. I can think of a couple I'd put on there, but not sure what I'd take off. I'm glad to see The Next Roumd on there -- it's one of my personal favorites.
