Fat Wreck Chords has posted an update with funeral information for No Use For a Name frontman Tony Sly. They also mention that Tony died "peacefully in his sleep."
My eyes are tearing up all over again. I'm going to miss this man a lot. I wish I lived in the area to make it, but my thoughts and best wishes go out to his family, friends, and loved ones right now. This is a heavy hitter in hearts of the punk rock community. I thought the death of MCA was a tough one, but this one breaks me down to the bone. RIP Tony. Fuck.
I still can't believe it, still heartbreaking just thinking about it. But in his 41 years, at least he gave more, saw more and lived more than the majority of people that live through to their old age. He lived a full life!
Sad thing about someone going away like this is now all these people are sharing these stories and It would be awesome for him to see how many lives he was a part of or how many people grew up listening to his music. Ive never liked no use for a name but had friends who use to jam to them back in our golden pop punk days. And seeing the amount of people on here that were effected by this was crazy.
So i hope he knows and I hope the band see's that alot of people got love for them.
cannot comprehend how someone at that age just dies in their sleep. RIP
either do I, must be undiagnosed or diagnosed medical condition or substance abuse. I see no mention he was ever involved in the latter so well leave it at that.
