Are you having the same problem I had when I was younger, not wanting to change your look for interviews? I realized after I stopped drying my hair green (remember, the 90s here) I found it much easier! But anyways, I imagine you dont live somewere with good public transit? I don't have a car anymore and I have a son. There is just too much traffic here. Bus/Train is faster.
There's not much for me to change. My hair is of a natural color, I dress nice, and wear a little makeup. I also bring a resume and cover letter, but I still get rejected. I've literally tried everything. Even if I have open availability, I don't get hired. It's really depressing. Public transit is okay I guess. Like there's buses, and the light rail. I drive, but it's not my own car, it's my parents. So if I moved out, I can't take it with me, I'd need my own.
