Debut EP from singer-songwriter Jillette Johnson.
How is it?
A surprisingly honest debut from the singer from NYC highlighted with a song about a transgendered boy. The track "Cameron" is about a boy feeling comfortable in makeup and finding the strength to be himself. It is a very strong message but it comes across as completely natural. It's one of those songs that will take a few listens to grasp all the different parts, but it is well worth each listen. Johnson's bravery and honest approach is a welcomed change from the typical singer-songwriter relationship songs.
