That's what I'm talking about! |
Love that roster you guys have. Wish you would infuse some youth in that D.
I know everyone is going to consider the NFC North or East the toughest division but don't overlook the South.
New Orleans is still going to be a great team. I didn't put them in my playoff prediction because I'm a homer and put the Panthers as a wildcard instead. But Brees is too good and still has a lot of weapons. Still a dangerous team.
As long as Matt Ryan plays well, which I think he will, the Falcons' offense will be hard to stop. Julio and Roddy might be the best WR duo in the league. This takes attention away from Gonzalez and Turner. They do have a few holes in the D but wil be decent enough overall.
As for my Panthers, it could go either way. The offense has a real shot at being top in the league. I don't know how a defense game plans for a running game that features Delo, Stew, Tolbert, and Cam. Throw in Smitty, Olsen, and LaFell and you can spread the ball with ease. The defense is of course what will determine our season. If injuries are kept to a minimum, I think it's a middle of the pack unit, not great but also not bad. And that should be good enough. Last season we had leads in the 4th quarter in 8 of the 10 losses but still lost because the defense couldn't hold the lead.
Tampa Bay is a real question mark. I have no idea what to expect from Freeman. I've read that he has improved his work ethic and has been hitting the gym and practice field a lot this offseason. We'll see. They also overpaid for a decent CB and picked up a great safety in the draft. Still a lot of holes on defense. They should finish last in the division but could still win 6-8 games. |
The South is my favorite division in football. Love all of the rosters down there, love the competition. I'm excited. I think South is going to be on the up and up very soon. All of those teams (except the Saints) are going to be competing at a high level.
