I knew this was coming, but I really didn't want it to be true. I'll always love everything Andrew does. Jack's Mannequin really holds a special place in my heart though.

Loved the first album, but never listened to anything after that.

So he's retiring the name and/or the music? I'm sure he can go out on the road under his name and do some JM songs.

Everything In Transit is a perfect album. I can totally understand where he's coming from. With that being said, I will listen to anything he puts out, no matter what name it's under.

This is unfortunate. I was too young to grow up with SoCo but Everything In Transit came at a perfect time for me and I loved that record and love this band and everything they've done since. It's sad to see this project be put to rest but I'll follow Andrew wherever he intends to lead us next. One of the greatest musicians of my time and I'm forever amazed at his body of work.

Not a big deal. Andrew McMahon is the show. The rest of his band members are there just to provide sound.

He'll start up some other project and it'll sound exactly like JM/SC.

yeah...I respect the guy, but that was painful to read. Don't make this more dramatic than what it is. "Hey guys, im hanging up the hat that was Jack's Mannequin. Thanks for the support!", would have been sufficient.
