These new songs are definitely a step in the right direction after DARK, but they're still not as good as anything on NTFP or Cities.

both songs are great. happy beyond words to be able to say i enjoy this band's music again. usually i try and hold off on listening to songs pre-release, but i'm just too enthralled in this case.

also, this band loves writing choruses that stephen can't possible pull off live -- like when 'war' and 'why' overlap in self-starter. and in my experience seeing them live (6 or 7 times i think), the backup vox are never loud enough to make up for the fact that he has to cut lines/melodies short.

best example, Feel Good Drag.

I love lyric videos! I love this new Anberlin. I'm so happy to see them regularly in the news again. These are the best times!!

I agree tho, Self Starter was great from the first listen. Someone, Anyone is a grower.

Anything on NTFP or Cities? As good as those albums were they each had a few tracks that weren't spectacular.
