"How To Throw A Successful Party" Release Info

Originally issued as a free bonus download with pre-orders for Mixtapes’ 2011 LP, Maps & Companions, Animal Style Records has now announced plans for a proper release of the Cincinnati, OH indie pop-rock band’s 9-song, How to Throw A Successful Party. Due out on Oct 30th, the album will be available digitally and on vinyl as a one-sided 12", limited to 500 copies (100 yellow, 200 green, 200 blue). See cover art and track listing below.

Co-vocalist Ryan Rockwell explains, "So we originally recorded this to come out for free alongside Maps & Companions and we were really stoked on it. It was 9 acoustic (mostly) songs and we're really happy with them. People have been asking for a while about it being on vinyl and now the time seems right, so the great Matt Medina is putting it out on Animal Style Records! It's gonna come out at Fest and be limited to 500, If you are reading this on a blog or news website I look forward to reading about how much we suck. We are happy this is coming out on vinyl and you should buy it on all 3 colors because that's what ICP does and they are rich <3."

I hate to be that guy buuut how soon till we hear the dates for the headlining tour? You know. So we know how much time we have to come up with a good excuse for missing work/school and shit.

Totally awesome. This is actually how I got into Mixtapes, so getting it on vinyl would be great.

Wouldn't fit on a 7" without sounding poor. Sides would have been over 7-9 minutes long.
