Couldn't find an official thread for the 6th one, so I'm posting this tidbit here.
Screenwriter on how he plans to bring John McClane back to the basics
|Hmm, what can I say? What can I say? What am I allowed to say? OK, without spoiling too much, I can say that McClane is invited to Tokyo by the Nakatomi Corporation to be commended for his bravery and efforts in saving 36 lives, celebrating this on the 30th anniversary of the Naktatomi Hostage Crisis. Itís by no means BLACK RAIN. Perhaps has a slight RISING SUN type tone. Itís also not a double-act buddy-buddy story. McClane began on his own and should end on his own. Of course heís had assistance in various guises, aiding him in his ventures; but itís not Lethal Weapon or a Jackie Chan film.|
I still need to watch the 5th one, but just haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet. Haven't heard much of anything good about the film. I loved Live Free or Die Hard and am just worried that the next one might just turn me away from the whole series.
