PureVolume Interviews All Time Low

Posted by: Drew Beringer (10/09/12)
PureVolume recently interviewed Alex from All Time Low, which you can read here.
From The InterviewThis is some of the most personal music we've written in a long time, and I think for that reason, it felt right to have people who were really close to us and who we really valued as artists on the record this time around. We're not featuring people on the record because we want to put their name next to the song title.

Excellent album. Better than Dirty Work, in my opinion, but Nothing Personal still may be my favorite.

Fantastic album, the only flaw is it kinda gets repetitive, but every chorus is infectious as fuck, and here surely are some ATL classics...

Love the album, definitely my favorite from the band which is great considering Party Scene has held the reigns for quite some time. Could do without "Lifesaver" and all the reverb and robotic effects on Alex's voice. The man has pipes, let homie sing!

I am puzzled by his claim that the band is not just featuring singers for the sake of promotion. None of the guest vocalists make any evident impact on the songs. Why have guest spots at all if they don't add anything musically to the songs?

Cassadee's vocals really added to Backseat Serenade imo, and Jason's appearance on Outlines turned a 7/10 song into a 9/10 song. So....it's all a matter of opinion?
