When I'm angry or having an argument with someone, I shut down. I just stop talking, and it's not even intentional. I think it's a defense mechanism I've developed.
I do this too. I don't like to cry, so I shut down before I do. I'll just sit there and stare at a fixed point until they go away.
However, I'm also usually very calm and sarcastic and rational in arguments, which also annoys people. I'm just like, "why are you yelling? I'm standing right here, and can hear you fine." I will absolutely not respond to being yelled at. I was just raised not to yell, and sometimes the fights are so dumb. I look at the big picture. If the fight is insignificant in the long run, I tend to brush it off. Angry people hate logic, so it's also probably a bit of a passive aggressive move on my part too haha. I never get that worked up.
