The first annual Blankfest Vancouver, which has joined the rankings of Montreal, Calgary, NYC and many others around the globe to help the homeless is proud to announce it has raised over $1,000 and over 200 clothing items for the city's less fortunate with proceeds being donated to Covenant House, the non-profit shelter that helps cities street youth from age 16-24 who have fled physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse, along with those who have been forced from their homes or those who have aged out of foster care.

Bielefeld, Germany-based hardcore band SOULS FOR SALE have premiered a lyric video for one of the tracks from their upcoming album ‘Scavengers’. ‘Scavengers’ will be the successor of the debut-ep ‘All My Favorite Love Songs Are By Cannibal Corpse‘, which was released late 2010. The track entitled ‘Zielenvisserij’ features some of the most melodic riffs the band has written as of yet. The album will be out via WOOAAARGH, OLYMPUS MONS & PUZZLE records in early 2013.

Toronto hardcore punk band The New Enemy have posted their new album 'Darkness, She Was The Universe' for free download on BandCamp (w/ name-your-price option). Money raised will be donated to Youth Without Shelter, a Toronto-based shelter for homeless and abused youth. Produced by Simon Head (SNFU, Trigger Happy), mastered by Enormous Door (Poison Idea, Dillinger Four), and featuring cover art by comic book artist Skuds McKinley.
