Wasn't a great cover and generally from what I've found, most new age bands find covering either current pop or rap songs make the kids flock.

a strawberry girl is a girl that will do sexual favors for drugs, so as corny as it may sound, its actually pretty dark. i chose the name cause i was sick of seeing all these one-word-plural band names popping out (know what i mean?) and i was sick of wannabe "deep" names like INTO THE DARKNESS or AS THE SKY FALLS and that kinda bullshit. i wanted something that would make people go "what the fuck is wrong with these guys?"

also, the way this cover came about was i was bored one night and i started playing some kendrick lamar songs on acoustic guitar at home and recorded a short little one minute cover of Swimming Pools. it got the most views in a short period of time than anything i'd posted before. im a huge kendrick fan, he's probably my favorite artist right now, and ive recently gotten my whole band into him. we thought itd be fun to try to reinterpret this song into a different genre and see how itd sound. i wanted to make it different than the original (which i feel i did, though ive seen people saying we didnt change it much, which blows my mind).
