Since when is a picture of a dick with marker on it acceptable for an album cover?

Glad to see both Torche and Baroness on there, those are great albums.

Japandroids was named Band of the Year. I think that's what really matters.

Do you follow music news at ,all? The Death Grips label saga is well documented.

I have The Money Store higher but both certainly deserve to be on a top 50 list.

Lonerism being that low is a crock of shit.

I can't believe Chris of GvB left it completely out of his top 50.

Odd to see that Title Fight's 'Floral Green' didn't make their top 50 considering they streamed the whole album for about a week with high praise.

- Deftones are about 43 spots too low on this list.

- Where's Sigur Ros?

- I know it isn't their bread and butter, but too bad Spin doesn't give heavier music an equal chance here. The Chariot and Every Time I Die put out both intelligent and fantastic works this year that are both worthy of any year-end best-of list.

Literally half of these reviews read like loosely-strung together pop culture references. Kinda predictable (but solid) list though. Frank Ocean's easily going to make my top 3.

Honestly haven't heard of a lot of the artists/bands on the list. Not sure if I'm missing out on dodging a bullet.

God forbid a magazine that doesn't particularly cover punk music too often include the Menzingers...it's geared towards their audience. 75% of Spin's readers probably haven't even heard of the Menzingers.

Which ones haven't you heard/curious about?
