They really shouldn't be. They were cool in the late 90's and early 2000's, but they lack improvement or originality now. Mike Portnoy is the single-handedly most over-rated metal drummer in the history of time. They should break up or go on hiatus to create music with other musicians. Maybe that will give them a spark.
Mike Portnoy is gone, as above stated, and A Dramatic Turn of Events is easily their best album in a long time.
