11:01 AM on 12/04/12 | Holy shit, American Idiot came out in 2004? I remember buying that album in sixth grade. It was the first CD I ever owned.
The record is good. More consistent than Uno and Dos put together. It does lack punch though, and I don't like it as much as any of their pre-trilogy material; but for what it is, it's the best of the three records.

11:06 AM on 12/04/12 | Dirty Rotten Bastards will sound amazing live

11:10 AM on 12/04/12 | God this sounds so good. I loved Uno and Dos, but this blows them out of the water so far.

you feel old? I was just starting my first semester of college when I bought that. I remember I HAD to buy it, I refused to pirate it or stream it beforehand. It made it so much better.

11:15 AM on 12/04/12 | At least one of these albums is listenable. Kinda.
|
11:19 AM on 12/04/12 | That's good. I liked UNO, but hardly made it through a single listen of Dos |
This exactly. I enjoyed Uno a ton, but Dos was pretty terrible. I don't think there was a single song on that album that I enjoyed.

11:28 AM on 12/04/12 | Some really good songs. X Kid is one of my favorite Green Day songs I've heard in a while.
|
11:46 AM on 12/04/12 | On my first listen the songs that stood out were:
Dirty Rotten Bastards (Best of the trilogy hands down)
X-Kid (need to look up the lyrics, but was very catchy)
99 Revolutions ("Too Much Too Soon" anyone?)
Sex, Drugs & Violence is catchy, but lyrically dumb (like usual). Though, Mike Dirnt's vocal part!
Other than that, it's typical Green Day we've heard in the past two stints.

11:49 AM on 12/04/12 | Wow.
My Uno-Dos-Tre compilation will be about 70% Tre it seems. Love this.

11:53 AM on 12/04/12 | No surprise, this trilogy suffers from the same bloat that plagues most multi-album releases. There's a solid, if not great, album among the glut of tracks found on these three albums. But as it stands, each individual album is bogged down by tracks that should have been cut from the project.
That said, this one definitely seems better than the other two on first listen.

Hit the nail on the head. Well said.

12:18 PM on 12/04/12 | I think I'm in the minority here, but this is definitely the worst of the 3.
|
12:19 PM on 12/04/12 | Only on track 2, but I'm so happy to see the consensus is positive on this one.
