I hope all is well, but I'm fucking pissed that I'm going to miss them when I go see ETID/The Chariot on Friday :(

Ugh, so they drop off this instead of The Falling In Reverse tour...

This looks like an urgent personal matter.

I would like to think, given the choice, they'd stick with the better (but clearly less lucrative) tour.. but the situation doesn't really appear to be about that choice. It's just bad timing.

Onto an unrelated matter, the most disappointing thing about letlive is their tour choices. They seem to be a legit band that wants to be taken seriously, but then they'll go out on a tour with Falling in Reverse. It gives you a (good) reason to question them. Thankfully (and confusingly), they also get on quality tours like ETID/TC and Underoath/mwY/ACB.

You are judged, and rightfully so, by those you associate with. Opening for or bringing out a band is a mark of endorsement, however large or small. You room with, share buses with, meals with, ideas with, and indeed much of your time with bands you tour with.

letlive can, and should, tour with whoever the fuck they want. However, there are better "appeal to the masses" bands than Falling in Reverse, and ones where you don't have to put your name next to a band full of guys who routinely show no respect to staff and fans. The sarcastic comments about managing them / knowing what's best for them financially are somewhat hilarious; obviously, you make more money playing for more popular bands. If it's all about the money, then, in most cases, your art suffers as you cater outward instead of inward. The best bands know this.

You guys are definitely right, though, I am constantly barking up the wrong tree about this. The tolerance for bullshit is at an alltime high. It's going to be nice when that inevitably snaps back.

appealing to a demo that has parents buying them music.

Absolutely the case, not to mention concert tickets. The number of parents standing around chaperoning for bands like Asking Alexandria at festival-type events is crazy to see.

Those parents are usually awesome to talk to.

Just saw them for what I guess was their last night on the tour. The frontman had pneumonia and they still killed it.
Le Prologue
The Sick, Sick, 6.8 Billion
Renegade 86'
Homeless Jazz
Muther
Day 54
Casino Columbus

Is that about accurate for what they were playing on this tour?

it's not like Thursday hasn't played with BMTH

The tour was booked originally with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Converge, not Bring Me the Horizon and Pierce the Veil.

The promoter pulled some sketchy shit, basically enforcing a clause that didn't let Thursday drop (without paying out the contract themselves, which is basically impossible) despite desiring to do so when they put those replacement bands on. Geoff has been quite vocal about his distaste for that tour, and rightfully so. I can't imagine what it's like to have to sit backstage waiting to play next and listen to Bring Me the Horizon call the NYC crowd "a bunch of fucking f-ggots", given Thursday's nonstop dedication to sexual and gender equality for the last decade.
