matthew vaughn jumped on as producer last week, so that's somewhat promising. and seth grahame smith was hired to touch up the script, which could go either way.
i wrote up my casting choices on my podcast's blog: http://www.moviesonup.com/?p=345 |
I refuse to let Edgerton go to the inferior Marvel cinematic universe when Dr. Strange is there for the taking. Muahaha.
Not bad choices though! Casting will really depend on the age range they want for the actors. They could theoretically go the Ultimate route with a cast that leans a bit younger.
Alternatively, I wouldn't mind Michael C Hall as Mr. Fantastic, Alice Eve as Sue, Alex Pettyfer as Johnny, and Nick Offerman as Thing. Yes, the last one may seem unconventional, but he's expressed interest in the role, has the gruff kind of voice, and we're not going to see the human version for long, if at all. For Doom, I like Cumberbatch a little more for that role, but I like the suggestion of Stephen Moyer or Viggo Mortensen.
