Replacing G4
Quote:
New programming is already in development and will focus on the genres that other male-centric channels, such as Spike, have failed to provide for men. They include: cooking, travel, fashion and, in keeping with tradition, some gaming as well.

Will officially debut april 22nd
Syndicated programming so far includes reruns of Parks and Rec , Party Down , Burn Notice,Psych , and rebroadcasts of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

the first two original series announced are
The Getaway ,
Quote:
" a celebrity travel show produced by Anthony Bourdain features travel-loving, well known personalities - people deservedly famous for excellence in their fields - who take viewers to their favorite city on the planet, giving the insiders’ track on their top spots to eat, drink, shop and hang out This includes Aziz Ansari (Hong Kong), comedian Joel McHale (Belfast), musicperson Eve (Jamaica), actress Aisha Tyler (Paris), and José Andrés (Puerto Rico"

Knife Fight,
Quote:
produced by Drew Barrymore and about, per the press release, “underground, after-hours cooking competition where talented chefs go head to head in front of a rowdy crowd of celebrities, critics and die-hard foodies."

The only original G4 program that they will keep is American Ninja Warrior.

Wait.. some people are actually okay with G4 being replaced by some shitty, metrosexual fashion channel, or am I misunderstanding the purpose of this new station?
I think fashion is just one part of it.
I just see it as a more sophisticated upscale version of Spike.

just make it a 24 hour slow-motion sara underwood channel
It would make sense to keep her as an on air personality considering she was Esquire's Hottest Woman Of The Year 2012

Saw a trailer for The Getaway featuring Joel McHale, looks entertaining.
The one with Aziz in Hong Kong should be great.

So is Anthony Bourdain going to be present in this at all? He's one of my favorite television personalities.
I think he is just producing it , he has a new travel show on CNN now so i don't think he'd be in two similar shows.
