I see what you're saying. I think people think he's overrated because his name is thrown around a lot, especially with the younger crowd. In no way do I think that's a bad thing. Dude has awesome technique, good show of dynamics (on record, live it's just a bash fest), and writes really interesting drum patterns and fills that are classic Travis. Best examples of his work are the Box Car Racer and Untitled albums. Dude KILLS those tracks.

Came to see if he grew the mohawk back. Alas, he did not.

I'm a drummer (a shitty one) but I really couldn't fully appreciate this until I saw him playing it.

That camera editing killed it for me. It's great to see more behind the scenes though. I really wish they'd do these more often like they used to.

I really dig the way he brings his arm around on the snare hits (especially the first song). He's the only one I can think of offhand that has that little flare like that.

Coming from someone who is not a drummer... half of the stuff he does looks and sounds humanly impossible.
