She had to make a statement because she opened her mouth on twitter, and now has to roll back what she originally said:

"I had my very own issue with 'die young' for this reason," she wrote on Twitter on Tuesday evening. "I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO."

She should have STFU from the start.

Reminds me a little bit of Machine Head in 2001, having their video pulled for "Crashing Around You" because of 9/11. And yes, Kesha to Machine Head.

I honestly doubt she really had any reservations about it before the tragedy. The song is completely innocuous.

What's wrong with the tweet? Well, two ways to look at it: 1) she had to correct herself completely in a second statement, therefore she found something wrong with it, or 2) she was right the first time and admitted she was FORCED to sing a song she didn't want to sing ... which has its own implications.
