i don't think it's a central point. but i have/had a tv and now it can't turn on. I can only imagine the awkward "put the game on"

Yeah just buy a bunch of booze no one will notice. There are a bunch of NBA games on all day, and they're headliner match-ups if your guests are into the NBA, but a lot of people hate the NBA like me.
